The results of the Newcastle v Everton player ratings by fans.

Always interesting to see what supporters have collectively made of the latest performance, when using our interactive ratings system.

Each player marked out of 10 and the averages below.

Making it three man of the match awards for Newcastle from the last four games, Mohamed Diame (7.5) was easily Newcastle’s best player on Monday night. Whilst many team-mates saw their form dip, he continued his much improved displays, getting in and amongst the opposition and rattling a few cages.

Elsewhere, it was a bit thin on the ground for good performances, Paul Dummett (7.1) next best after doing a decent job on both Bolasie and Walcott.

Only four other players got 6.0 or better, with centre-backs Florian Lejeune (6.6) and Jamaal Lascelles (6.4) amongst them, the Newcastle Captain making a rare mistake when going to ground too easily as Walcott shaped to shoot for the winning goal.

That was the only shot on goal so Martin Dubravka (6.3) had little to do, other than once again impressing when dealing with crosses into the box.

Making up the quartet of ok ratings was Kenedy (6.5), not at his best but did provide Newcastle’s best hope of doing something.

Of the rest, Matt Ritchie (5.8) struggled to make an impact, DeAndre Yedlin (5.7) did ok but got caught out on the goal, whilst Jonjo Shelvey (5.5) never really got his passing game going – not helped by little space to work in due to the negative formations of both teams.

At the very bottom we had the front two, both on only 4.9.

Ayoze Perez was really poor and somehow failed to pass a 10 yard ball to an unmarked Slimani who would have had an easy chance to open the scoring, meanwhile the Algerian striker looked way off the pace – maybe little surprise it being his first start in almost four months.

Off the bench, Gayle (5.5) maybe deserved a higher rating as his movement started to cause Everton problems and led to a series of fouls and decent free-kick situations. Whilst ike Merino only came on for the last 10 minutes but looked good on the ball and very composed in the short time he had.

Nufc attack, all 5 or under & will the problem be sorted this summer,
not a chance in Hell, next season will be the same shyte as this one.
The Fat Lad has some fans jumping with joy at mediocrity, that`s how much he`s damaged the club

This is true of the writers who surround the club especially, they settle into their ‘complacency armchairs’ with a big mug of ‘resignation cocoa’.

Looking forward to Rafa signing 3 upgrades in the close season a number 10 a striker and a RB + a couple of loans, cover for Dummett is a must. The future looks bright in my eyes with or without Ashley, the Rafalution wheels are in motion.

” The future looks bright in my eyes with or without Ashley, ” What pills did you tale this morning bud??? If he stays its hell again for us fans, Rafa has exceeded expectations but will not tolerate incompetency from the fat one much longer.
