Everton fans asked how they rate Sam Allardyce ahead of Newcastle game – Some cracking replies
The bosses at Goodison Park have sent a survey out to Everton fans, asking them to rate the performance of manager Sam Allardyce on a scale of zero to 10.
The survey is claimed to be part of an exercise designed to discover how connected the supporters feel to the club.
Fans are asked to rate the statement:
“I have a high level of trust in the current manager (Sam Allardyce) and coaching staff… e.g. in making the right decisions to get the best out of the team.”
Whilst there are other questions asking supporters to also give their opinion on players and the club hierarchy, the survey is still being seen by many as an underhand way of getting the Everton fans to effectively sack Sam Allardyce, rather than doing it themselves.
Everton fans have been reacting to the survey and asked by their top Grand Old Team message board to rate Allardyce’s performance this season, they have come back with the following:
‘He gets a zero even fatter than that big hock of ham he calls a head.’
‘Has managed to make an already struggling club even worse than they were and has turned us into a laughable embarrassment.’
‘Verdict- death penalty.’
‘I hate him, but surely he gets a 2 or 3 for doing exactly what he does and making sure we weren’t near the drop. 0 would’ve been if we were not safe.’
‘I would give him slightly above zero, perhaps 0.0000101, for his sole contribution to the legacy of Everton Football Club, which is the big vertical up to Michael Keane (looking for the knockdown, WIN THAAAAAAAT) on long range set pieces.’
‘0. Hasn’t done anything. We were never getting relegated. I still can’t believe people actually thought we might.’
‘Kneejerk of the century. Get him out asap and let’s all just forget about this god awful season.
‘A big fat ZERO.’
‘1 out of 10, but only if he had anything to do with getting Tosun and Theo, who are useful for us.
0 if he didn’t.’
‘If you stick your head into the fire will you get burned?
There would still be people on here who would argue otherwise.
Just sack him now. Please.’
‘If he didn’t keep trying to pour cold water on any ambition and reminding us we’re relegation strugglers I wouldn’t have felt so angry towards him
If he was genuinely trying to match our ambitions and reach Europe and go at teams then he wouldn’t be so bad. That includes not playing 9-0-0 formation away to WBA etc
It’s the arrogance and trying to keep it ‘little Everton’ that annoys me.’
‘Dragged us out of the mire meeting his mission brief, has recruited solidly. Some poor performances but overall a solid 7/10.’
‘Name 1 game under Sam that’s worth higher then a 3.’
‘5/10 realistically. Done what was minimally required but no way near enough to expect to be kept on.
Take your money and get going now, we’ll forget you were ever here.’
‘It’s always been about framing the message with him. He “saved us from relegation” What a load of garbage. He needs to go whether his job this season was 5 or a 0. He’s moving Everton backwards not forward.’
‘I detest the guy and I am embarassed that he is our manager, however he has done what Moshiri wanted – retain Premier league status – but he has done it in a horrible typical Allardyce way – and having achieved that has failed to give any hope for the future.
On that basis I gave him 4.
Why is he still here ?’
‘He doesn’t even deserve to be on the scale the utter disease.’
‘On the pitch: 4 out of 10
Attitude: 1 out of 10.
He really doesn’t care.’
‘I never thought I would come to hate an Everton manager the way I hated Koeman but Sam has turned that notion on its head inside six months.’
‘Personally I would give him 1 out of 10, surprising since my clear vitriol about him so far.
But… he has usefully shown us all what a crappy manager really is and what diabolical football looks like. Lets hope going forward it’s Nothing but better…’
‘As the club have asked supporters to mark the chubby one on his performance so far I feel we should also have a go.
Personally I would give him a 2/3 for turning up every week.’
‘He’s had a whale of a time trolling the fans, indulging in negative football and earning a fortune all whilst looking like he’d rather be elsewhere. Plus he knows he’s on for a bumper pay off too for stuff all.
Absolutely saw us coming. He’s played a blinder.
