A Premier League weekend full of some great matches and outstanding goals, Jamie Redknapp now having picked his best 11 players from the games on Saturday and Sunday.

Newcastle fans made Jonjo Shelvey their man of the match in our interactive player ratings – but it is another NUFC star who makes Redknapp’s team.

I have to say that Jamie Vardy’s goal for Leicester at West Brom was breathtaking but I think for technique, you would have to say Kenedy’s first wasn’t far behind.

Jamie Redknapp picks the Newcastle winger in his PL best 11 of the weekend and I wouldn’t argue with that, especially with the Brazilian adding a second after a great sweeping team move on the counter-attack.

However, I do wonder how much Redknapp actually saw of the Newcastle game?

Obviously he’ll pick his team largely on highlights and I think Jonjo Shelvey is a glaring miss this weekend for Jamie Redknapp.

When you see Shelvey play like that, there is no doubt he could do it for England if getting some consistency.

I think his display was better than the one against Man Utd and was pretty much a complete performance, both in attack and defence.
