The draw for the Premier League Cup has been made on Thursday morning and Newcastle United have found out who they will face in the last 16.

The Newcastle United Under 23s (reserves) will face Bournemouth at home.

A date for the game is still to be confirmed.

Obviously no silverware for the first team this season but after their six group games, Newcastle topped their Premier League Cup group, with the following results:

Newcastle 3 Burnley 4

Newcastle 6 Swansea 3

Colchester 1 Newcastle 2

Burnley 0 Newcastle 4

Swansea 1 Newcastle 1

Newcastle 3 Colchester 0

In-form young striker Luke Charman played a big part in the success, scoring twice in three of the last four group matches.

Good luck to Newcastle’s young players when they face Bournemouth.
