Thursday afternoon in Bangkok saw the latest match for Martin Dubravka.

Slovakia are playing in the King’s Cup, a four team tournament in the international break.

Coming late to international football, the 29 year old Newcastle loan keeper has only started five competitive matches for his country and is desperate to keep the number one jersey now.

Up against the UAE in the massive, but near deserted, Rajamangala Stadium, Slovakia raced into a 2-0 lead.

Albert Rusnak and Michal Duris scoring the goals on 42 minutes and in the final seconds of added on time before the break.

Martin Dubravka was the less busy of the two keepers but his judgement and pace when sweeping up behind the defence, came to their rescue a number of times.

However, with 17 minutes to go, Ahmad Khalil pulled the score back to 2-1 when beating Martin Dubravka with a low shot (watch it below).

In the final seconds of added on time, Khalil could have made it 2-2, but Martin Dubravka once again was quick off his line and having to hurry the striker failed to convert with his chipped effort.

Slovakia and Dubravka will now play the winner of the other semi-final between hosts Thailand and Gabon on Saturday.

Watch the match highlights below, the goal that Martin Dubravka conceded comes at 5.20.
