You know what Graham I’m not going to bother scoring it because you have led the scoring again….. which will influence the outcome…. its silly.

Leazes, stop trying to be clever, it’s harmless fun.

        shut your gob

        • love toon despite

ok, as you asked me so eloquently.
          Night night…….

    I’ll put my thoughts in.

Dubravka 6….Little to do but flapped a bit.
Yedlin 6…Pace hides minor errors but I love the lad.
    Lascelles 6…Steady as required.
    Lejeune 6…same as above.
Dummett 8.5…Never hides and covers well. A real warrior. (my man of the match)
Ritchie 6…A great workhorse at times and a tidy finisher when the opportunity is presented. No slouch.
Kenedy 7.5…A pacey nightmare more suited to counter attacking than most but with a bit of skill in his locker. Decent enough defensive worker.
Shelvey 8…Played some sublime balls into players as well as taking the game to the oppositions area for Ritchies strike.
Diame 8…Marshalled midfield excellently and allowed the team to play, including Shelvey’s offensive forages.
Perez 6…Had some fleeting glances of what he’s capable of…just not enough of it…but the breakaway with Gayle and Kenedy was great to watch.
Gayle 6…Never quite got to grips in punishing Southampton and generally a bit off the pace. Still a fair performance though, so maybe next time.

Rafa 10 for getting the worst squad we’ve had since the early 90s into a position where we have a chance of survival,,,,

      • ghostrider

It’s by far not the worst squad. It’s actually one of the better squads that is badly used.

        • Lakeland Mag

Complete nonsense – it may not be the worst squad of all, but it’s nowhere near one of the better ones. It’s a squad that was essentially built to get us out of the Championship (which it did) and was then , thanks to Ashley’s underfunding, largely left to try and compete with 17 established Premiership (and 2 other promoted) sides without any significant strengthening to assist the manager in that task. Rafa deserves plenty of credit for working with a largely Championship level squad, keeping us out of the bottom three for most of the season and giving us a fighting chance of staying up.

          • ghostrider

We were the Man City of that championship. We were the scalp for all teams.
There’s a reason why that was. It’s because we were way better than the championship.

We might not have been top half premier league standard but we were premier league standard compared to what was in it in over half of the teams in it.

            Let’s put this simple.
Rafa Benitez can have all the credit in the world if we stay up but he better start producing football that’s palatable.
He’s done it a good few times this season so we all know he’s capable.

He sets the team up to graft and defensively organise to frustrate teams. I get that but and I accept that bit …IF…he also equally sets up to have a god when necessary in the entire 90 mins. It’s not too much to ask for and would strengthen his position as a top manager.

        • Cockneytrev

once again you prove you know nothing about football.
          stick to licking Ashley’s hoop,,👅👅👅

Agree about Dummet. Even had his name sung!

Realistic ratings then I have looked at Lee Ryder’s ratings and wonder what planet he is on……

    • Leazes.

Have you lost the ‘Clarko’ log in?

      • Rich Lawson

        That’s on the ”Dark Web”

  • Mxpx

How does gayle get a good rating missed two chances OK he gets an assist in the Kennedy goal but he offered us very little

    • Leazes.

Because the scoring hasn’t changed since he put the poll up…. at all!

With the ‘running average’ alongside it has influenced the figures….so whoever put the initial scores in has corrupted the poll…. it is a waste of time.

      • Leazes.

How average scoring has not altered since zero hours to six hours

        0 2h 4h 6h
        GK 12. Martin Dúbravka 7.4 7.4 7.5 7.4
        DF 3. Paul Dummett 8.3 8.3 8.3 8.3
        DF 6. Jamaal Lascelles 7.7 7.9 7.9 7.9

        MF 15. Kenedy (↓77′) 8.4 8.5 8.5 8.5
        MF 11. Matt Ritchie 7.5 7.7 7.6 7.7

        SB 30. Christian Atsu (↑77′) 5.7 5.8 5.8 5.8
        SB 23. Mikel Merino (↑82′) 5.7 5.8 5.8 5.8

Conclusion: The initial score has dominated and hijacked the poll.

Pleased to see Dummett getting a decent mark, he has had some “stick” on this forum

  • Philippines

Glad to see Perez get more appreciation. Someone a while back said he lacks pace, however when he broke away, until he slowed to assess his pass, the defenders were not closing on him.
