There have been 14 Newcastle United live TV matches so far this season.
Today’s game at St James Park against Manchester United will be the 15th of the season.
The Man Utd match will be Newcastle’s 14th Premier League game to be broadcast live, with the FA Cup fourth round game at Chelsea also having been broadcast live on TV.
With Liverpool and Tottenham away having also been scheduled, that will mean 16 of Newcastle’s first 31 Premier League matches this season, will have been chosen by Sky Sports and BT Sport.
The choices for April and beyond are yet to be revealed (scheduled dates for those to be revealed are below).
With 26 Premier League games played so far, exactly half of those have been live on TV.
Newcastle’s record in those Premier League live TV matches is Played 13 Won 1 Drawn 3 Lost 9, with six points from a possible 39 points.
Newcastle’s record in the non-televised ones is Played 13 Won 5 Drawn 4 Lost 4, with 19 points from a possible 39 points.
The single victory beamed around the world, being the 1-0 victory at Swansea back in September.
Last week’s draw at Palace brought to an end seven live TV defeats in a row (incl that Chelsea cup defeat) for Newcastle fans.
Here’s hoping for this afternoon…
