Rafa dealt with the Zaha/Townsend threat well , picking Richie and giving him clear orders to double up on Zaha worked well,
Only time we played football was when Kennedy was involved though. But all in all we used to lose these games so I’ll take it .

  • Tino o

Kennedy looked good again with a forward (slimani)we will be ok. Gayle btw pants premiership phobia!

    • Peaky Magpie

Yeah agree about Gayle,I’ve said on here recently he gets off lightly because Hoss is so sh*t,Championship player at best.

      • Mal

Gayle was feeding on scraps today. Balls just hoofed up to him. He hardly had a decent pass in the whole 90 minutes. In my opinion the rating above is ridiculous.

        • mentalman

everytime a decent ball was played up for him he got flagged offside

  • StevieB

I’ve got a feeling we’ll outwork Man U next week . I hope Slimani is as aggressive and direct for us as he appears in the highlights I’ve seen of him also .

    • Whickhamrobbie

Take ya pills mate and lie down in a darkened room.

      • StevieB

I know it sounds raj, it could get nasty but I just have a feeling we’ll get summit

        • Whickhamrobbie

I hope you are right Mate but after that second half shambles i just cant see it .
Never been so negative as now so it might be me that needs them pills.

          • StevieB

I know mate, it’s hard to watch at the minute ☹️

          • Wor Lass

hambles is a bit too lenient!

  • JonMag

    MOTM, Dummett

    • Diame, Dummett and Darlow for me :)

    • GeordieZebra

Dummett by a distance pal, I concur.

  • Martin

Unless Slimani can hit the ground record and turns draws at home into wins, we will be relegated. It is a ridiculous position for the Fat One to have got the club into, again. The odds are against us staying up.

    • Peaky Magpie

We need a debut of Supermac proportions from the big Algerian I feel…

      • grantham mag

A Great hatrick I remember the day well. if only, we can all dream, cos there’s nowt left, thanks to cockney barrow boy.

    • StevieB

Umm I wouldn’t condemn us just yet, Swansea’s just had there legs cut off with Bony and Fer out for the season. Pardew is starting to slowly but surely sabotage West Brom , Huddersfield’s bubble is now burst and Stoke are well……..just pure s**t.
Add to the fact we now sound like we’ve got a striker who knows where the goal is and Kenedy who looks a great temp signing (he’ll never be allowed to stay come May) and I’m optimistic. It’s a shame about that Burnley game . Those 2 points would have pushed us right up there .

      • Mike Adam

I agree, West Brom, Huddersfield, and Stoke down for me.

      • mentalman

        Who are the two?

Its one thing knowing where the goal is, its another getting the ball in it

  • Jimmy_toons

Ten players in our srarting line up from our Championship season, plus 2 out of the 3 subs, tells the story here.
