One Newcastle player has been selected, as the latest FIFA Ultimate Team of the week was announced today (Wednesday 14 February)

The United star chosen is Florian Lejeune.

Recalled to the NUFC side on Sunday, he played a key part in the victory over Manchester United.

His towering header helped set up Matt Ritchie’s winning goal.

Whilst his block from Sanchez’s shot, with Dubravka out of the action, was easily the equal of any goal as it saved a certain Man Utd equaliser.

The FIFA Ultimate Team site stating:

‘Each week FIFA Ultimate Team assembles the best players from international and club competition around the world.

This collection of players is available to challenge in FIFA Ultimate Team.’

  • Stephen Paylor

that will be a great confidence boost for the lad. Adds some class for sure in the defence

    • Down Under Mag

And no doubt Ashley is workign out what price to set for him in the summer…

      • Peaky Magpie

        • TheNutJob

          5 quid for this lad

          • Wor Lass

            You were robbed!

          • Peaky Magpie

He’ll have The National coming up soon, doon at the first fence…

          • Rich Lawson

Only if Owen is the jockey ?

          • Rich Lawson

Sorry,I’ve only got a pocket full of change,is that ok ?.Oh right,ta then.

  • steve

He was probably our 5th/6th best player at the weekend but half the team could have been picked

    • TheNutJob

The Hoss wasn`t on long enough to get MOTM, he hardly raised a canter
      but Lejeune was excellent
      🐎 🐎

    • Rich Lawson

10 of our boys and Aguero just edges out Perez.

  • Wor Lass

Nothing against Lejeune because he had a good game but Lascelles would be ahead of him every time for me. I hope he can keep up this form now because he offers more than Clark.

    • Peaky Magpie

Aye if it hadn’t been for the dirty cheating bas*ard against Spurs first game of the season….

      • csh

        Shhh that’s the FA’s golden boy you’re talking about… ;)

      • Rich Lawson

It was a disgraceful tackle,he should have gone straight away.

        • Peaky Magpie

If that tackle had been on someone like Roy Keane it would be in the memory bank for the next encounter….payback time..

          • Rich Lawson

Yes,Alf Unpronouncable, did he play for Man’ City,I seem to think Roy took umbrage over a previous clash and took him out with extreme predjudice at the 1st opportunity they next played.Did he get sent off for it ?

          • Peaky Magpie

Can’t remember if he got sent off but he did some serious damage…he openly admitted in his book he took him out intentionally….nutter….and still is.

          • Rich Lawson

And yet I make a point of watching him and Lee Dixon reviewing the Champ’s League on ITV because I like how un – pc he is about slagging off poor performances.

          • Peaky Magpie

I remember he came out with a classic once about players now been all nicey nicey with each other before the game in the tunnel, chatting, shaking hands, back patting etc when all he wanted to do was kill them….that glare must have scared a few over the years…remember Viera at Highbury ?

          • Rich Lawson

I do ,it did suggest he was more interested in murder than football,I liked that one recently where he said he wouldn’t watch Liverpool if they were playing in his back garden !
