Nothing wrong with Darlow and he brings in Dubravka. Our biggest problem is goal scoring and he leaves out Slimani. By Rafa I am confused.

    • TheNutJob

must still be carrying a knock, not worth risking in this match

      • FatParosite

Rafa already knows the points are not in this one.

    • Megatron1505

Are you drunk? Do you think he would leave Slimani out if he was fit enough to play?

      • TheNutJob

not yet, but i will be on 90 mins, drunk that is, it helps kill the pain

        • Peaky Magpie

          I’ve had a couple already,think we’ll win today
          😂😂
          🍺🍺🥃🥃

          • The Nut Job

            p1 $$ed again
            😂😂😂

      • mus

far better keep him for a winnable game instead of risking him today

    • robbersdog

      Slimani is injured you numpty!

      • Philippines

At the time I wrote it, I was not aware he was injured. Numpty yourself and twice.

    • mus

      huddersfield now 3-1 up

      • TheNutJob

strolling through the match & i`ve looked at their remaining games
they won`t go down if they keep up their form

    • Paul Smith

Dubravka did ok didn’t he.. Just because Darlow makes a few eye catching saves doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot of room for improvement in that position. There are things you don’t really see just watching the match as a fan such as how well a goalkeeper communicates, organises his defence, commands his area. There are also major issues with Darlow’s ball distribution. And Slimani arrived with an injury… It’s been know since we signed him that he probably wasn’t going to be available for this game.

  • TheNutJob

a pre match quote from Rafa, the team is doing well. am i missing something here or are we now in the bottom 3.

  • Leicester Mag

Which numpty club waits to the last day of the window to get an injured play in? Unbelievable

    • TheNutJob

      Penfold

      😂😂😂

      • FatParosite

Penfold is doing a great job.

        • The Nut Job

          for Fatty he is

  • Sid James

another match, another right Carry On at St James`

  • The Nut Job

Huddersfield 4-1, bad crack for us

    • Peaky Magpie

It pains to say it but the current bottom 3 may well be the final bottom 3.At least on a personal note the inbred Stoke fans around here won’t be able to say anything……

      • The Nut Job

        not looking good, is it

      • Leicester Mag

Difficult to introduce anything new into the gene pool. Such a shyttip Beruit turned down the offer to twin with Stoke

        • Peaky Magpie

Only used to go over there, about 22 miles,to use the brand new cinema at Hanley, horrible place….go to Chesterfield now….lovely town and about the same distance.
          .

          • Leicester Mag

Drive through sometimes rest assured with doors locked

    • MadMag83

If we don’t beat Bournemouth ourselves then we are toast.

  • The Nut Job

Jose`s lying in front of the bus Rafa`s trying to get on the pitch

    😆😆😆

  • Mxpx

I’d snap your hand off for a point

  • gallowgate26

Rafa’s reversing the bus into position. Maureen’s stamping the tickets.

  • mentalman

Looks like dummett is now 3rd choice cb

    • gallowgate26

Do we have more than one Lb?

  • paul mclaughlan

Can’t understand why Darlow has been dropped.

    • robbersdog

Because Rafa thinks that Dubravka is a better keeper.

      • DC1964

If you check Dubravka on YouTube, he looks really good.

    • DC1964

Rafa just doesn’t fancy the keepers he had at his disposal when he took over. He did the same with Jerzy Dudek at Liverpool.

      • paul mclaughlan

Hahaha just removed post after his performance so far

  • MichaelMaximusMoose

Well at least we`re having a go at them !

    • DC1964

      60% possession!!!

      • MichaelMaximusMoose

        hard to beleive

        • Leicester Mag

          Sadly now 80% Man U

          • DC1964

            Was good while it lasted!

  • MadMag83

Lejeune?! Oh well we are going to get battered! Could be 4 or 5 to the mancs

    • Danimal

I think they’re known as ‘United’, according to the awful Alan Parry and his ex-Man Utd sidekick. Takes me back to the good old days of Niall Quinn delivering his impartial thoughts on the derby matches.

      • MadMag83

Always hated the fact they think they’re the only United in existence. I prefer to call them Man Ure

  • paul mclaughlan

Can’t understand why we’ve not kept pressure up after a decent start.

    • MichaelMaximusMoose

the quality isn`t there to sustain it, most of our players are championship standard

      • MadMag83

Are you sure it’s not Rafa and the fans fault?

    • Peaky Magpie

Seems to happen every game….Moose gives the reason why…

    • nufcslf

Not good enough and still no forward to take a chance and finish it to boot.

      • paul mclaughlan

We beat them fair and square. We are good enough we just need self belief. Fingers crossed this win will spur them on.

  • Peaky Magpie

If the tax dodger Sanchez scores today Leazes will be to take away…..

    • MichaelMaximusMoose

Pay your taxes Sanchez & BetVictor

  • MichaelMaximusMoose

Brilliant save from our new keeper

    • DC1964

He looks solid so far, definitely a presence about him.

  • DC1964

    The ref was wrong there

    • paul mclaughlan

Stinking decision. Especially since he had a clear view.

    • Leicester Mag

      Bottled it

      • TheNutJob

        he did at that

    • Peaky Magpie

Would have been given the other way.

      • nufcslf

It was seconds later on Pogba

  • paul mclaughlan

    The officials are bastards.

  • Mxpx

Can’t help but feel that Dwight gayles previous dives may not have helped with that decision still it should have been a penalty that without joselu on the pitch might have been scored

  • TheNutJob

the ref should be wearing RED, another pen we didn`t get
    he`s 💩

    • Danimal

You know something’s wrong when even Neville and Souness think we were hard done by.

  • TheNutJob

we`re giving Jose`s boys a run for their money

    • Leicester Mag

Keeping it tight for a late cavalry charge from the Hos

  • Danimal

Sorry nit-picking but since when do referees have to add time to allow corners to be taken?

    • nufcslf

Because it is considered a minimum of time added on, ref can add more if he thinks fit. F**cking stupid at the best of times.

      • Danimal

Penalties only as far as I was aware, I’m sure he doesn’t have to add a full 30 seconds to give a team an extra chance to score. Blew the whistle as soon as the keeper caught it. If it had bounced about in the six yard box for another 15-20 seconds, or gone out for another corner what then?

        • nufcslf

Good refs will let a play late at the end of each half play out. This added on thing is madness if you think of how often it is a magic 3 minutes.

          • Danimal

Yeah, often seems arbitrary, why can’t they just take responsibility and add the correct amount as they see it? Noticed how it will be only 1 or 2 mins if it’s a 4-0 game?

          • nufcslf

            Very true.

  • Kev-82

FFS, same old refs, can’t give a penalty against Man Utd, the replay showed his view was unobstructed too.

    • Tino o

It’s not their fault it’s law that you can’t give penalties against them isn’t it??

  • Tino o

Hopefully we keep it up 2nd like the look of the new keeper officials are terrible

  • Peaky Magpie

Hoss on for the winner 80th minute….
    🤣😂

    • DC1964

      I’d take that!

    • TheNutJob

      😂😂😂😂

      • Peaky Magpie

He’ll be getting a couple of sugar cubes,a quick groom then a short canter around Leazes Park as I type this….

        • TheNutJob

Bucket of ice water over him & rub down

    • nufcslf

Dead cert, already on the edge of my seat with anticipation……..

    • TheNutJob

a 25 yard volley on the turn, gallops over to the fans
      😳😳

      • Peaky Magpie

        Straight past Dubravka….😂😂😂

        • nufcslf

From a last minute corner that was an obvious goal kick to us……

  • Benmagpie

I’m not typically a conspiracy theorist but yet again we are denied a clear foul, then a corner. Sickening. Clearly biased. Lads giving it their best playing against 13.

  • Peaky Magpie

Get Murph on to run at them…

    • DC1964

We need to do something, offering nothing up front so far!

    • nufcslf

Especially now with a lead, or is that the worst thing that could’ve happened.

      • DC1964

        Was thinking exactly that!

        • Peaky Magpie

Aye,we had the audacity to lead at their place and Chelsea then look what happened….

          • TheNutJob

            the bus has been parked

  • TheNutJob

    The Mighty Toon 1 up

  • Leicester Mag

    Get in !!!!!

  • nufcslf

His first goal, has he found his magic hat……..

  • TheNutJob

Fingers & everything else crossed lads, 20 mins to go

  • Coach Clagnut

The mighty Hoss arrives. It’s in the bag!

  • DC1964

    Backs to the wall stuff!

  • Dave Mitchison

When you need speed to go at Man U and you have Murphy on the bench go for Hoss

  • robbersdog

Two minutes to go; if we concede now, I’ll have to seriously consider going to live in a monastery in a remote part of Tibet.

  • MichaelMaximusMoose

Jonjo stepped up to the plate today Ok. top class. MOTM
all the lads have battled away & we have a keeper !

  • Leicester Mag

Get in Ashley stick that up your fat rrse

  • Dave Mitchison

    New No1 IMO

  • Tino o

    Bucking frilliant

    • Peaky Magpie

  • robbersdog

Great goalkeeper and Lascelles was colossal.

    Feels like VE Day!

    • MichaelMaximusMoose

      how old are you
      😯😯

      • robbersdog

        Old.

      • Peaky Magpie

        🤣🤣

      • nufcslf

Just hasn’t had a chance to see a home win for 4 months……

  • Coach Clagnut

    Immense from the boys.

  • Peaky Magpie

What did I tell you Nut 90mins ago….we would win today !!!! Defo getting sh*tfaced now……TOOOOOOOOOON….

  • Dave Mitchison

I can’t wait to hear Souness spin this one against the lads

  • Tino o

No weak links today to a man fantastic

  • ToonTom

Thank you Rafa – you are a genius!!!

  • Coach Clagnut

    Also denied a stonewall penalty.

  • nufcslf

Credit to the new keeper and a full 90 mins of effort from all that played. Just for the record, Cashley is still s fat c**t and still needs to simply f**k off.

    • Coach Clagnut

      Can’t deny the facts

  • Dillon Tovak

I love the way José loves sir bobby so much he throws the game each time up here.
    Haha.
    Great stuff.

  • DC1964

What a goalkeeping display from the big fella!

    • TheNutJob

      great

  • TheNutJob

what a win, bet Jose is shell shocked

  • paul mclaughlan

Great win. On another note. We should be playing like that every game. We wouldn’t be where we are if we did.

  • Megatron1505

10 out of 10 for all the lads today, that was exactly what was needed. Lascelles, Dubravka, Shelvey and Ritchie were all immense, everyone else was also very very good.

  • Peaky Magpie

13th now…..must keep momentum now and get something at Bournemouth…

    • nufcslf

Massive match and if that forward we got if fit, you never know!!!!

  • TheNutJob

Jose on the telly, he`s complimenting the Toon. hat`s off to him

    • Peaky Magpie

      Aye,Pep take notice….

      • TheNutJob

        Pep
        😠😠😠

    • nufcslf

Maybe he is the one to replace Rafa……….

      • TheNutJob

        we aren`t that lucky

    • GToon

I like him too. He’s enthusiastic about his team but he understands football better than most. He always recognizes there are two teams in the game and isn’t afraid to compliment the opposition.

  • GToon

I’ve got flu but that result made me feel so much better! Get in! Shelvey was immense, our captain a leader and everyone gave it their best. The keeper looks top class too. Toon Toon.

    • Peaky Magpie

JD & nurofen always works for me….

      • TheNutJob

getting a sweat on with a scally from the Bigg Markets betta
        😂😂😂

        • GToon

Now she would kill me if I did that!

      • GToon

My wife is keeping me supplied with tablets. She knows which ones and when. I’m not worth killing just yet so I trust her. Sort of.🤢

  • Mxpx

I was a little skeptical about the new keeper but he was brilliant today

  • Kev-82

Really hope we can use this result to kick start a bit of form as boy do we need it. I wasn’t sure why we needed a new keeper and had never heard of the lad but I think Rafa has found a gem in Dubravka.

  • Coach Clagnut

Mourinho has total respect for Sir Bob and that seems to extend to the club itself. Fair play.

    • paul mclaughlan

      Agreed.

    • Mrkgw

Very kind words from him following the game and he has won my respect for accepting defeat graciously.

      • paul mclaughlan

Henry was also very complimentary. I’m feeling dizzy.

        • Mrkgw

          Haha, quite.

  • bob0411

And THAT is why Benitez is a world class coach. He wanted a premier league quality keeper and we finally got one (albeit on loan only). Outstanding debut by Dubravka! Man of the match for me. Great effort by the whole team.

    • DC1964

Dubravka was inspired. Not surprising though if you check him out on YouTube!

      • Dublintoon

Hopes theres a pre agreed purchase price in his loan deal.

        • MichaelMaximusMoose

          i think there is

        • Coach Clagnut

4 million I think. Academic if the mighty pie eater is still in charge as he’s not spending.

    • TheNutJob

Him & Shelvey stood out, but the rest of the boys put in real effort today

  • Mrkgw

Work of trojans today. Every single one of them. Fantastic. Collosal well done to Rafa and his players. That was absolutely needed. Brilliant.

  • TheNutJob

add Slimani to our attack & things are looking up

  • Leazes.

Manure were off pace but that was a heck of a result

    • TheNutJob

      Penalty
      😂😂

      • Leazes.

        It was!

        • TheNutJob

nailed on, but we never get them

    • Peaky Magpie

And Sanchez is a tax evader….😂😂😂

      • TheNutJob

        pay your taxes Sanchez

        • Leazes.

Calm down were only two points clear.

          • Peaky Magpie

            The voice of reason
            🤣🤣

    • MichaelMaximusMoose

it was the shock of us going at them

  • Megatron1505

Ffleckman, Clarko, Ghostbuster and the rest of the Manc alter ego’s must be struggling to get out of the Away end before posting their “all thanks to Uncle Mike” anal-ysis.

  • Natturner26

We need to be working on permanent deals for Kenedy and Dubravka now.

    • nufcslf

True, but there is a big fat c** t between that ever happening don’t forget.

    • Coach Clagnut

We’ve an option to buy Dubravka but in light of fatty’s recent comments, if he’s still holding the keys, it won’t happen. He’s not spending.

    • Kev-82

I think I’m the exception in thinking Kenedy was quite poor both today and at Palace.

  • thewildchimp

Don’t forget the crowd, they were really the 12th and the 13th player today! A brilliant display from everyone involved! HTL!!!

  • MichaelMaximusMoose

One hell of a performance today.

  • MichaelMaximusMoose

Quite a debut by our new keeper, brilliant

    • Leazes.

That performance was the points winner.

      • MichaelMaximusMoose

        correct

      • Benmagpie

Others too. Shelvey made Pogba look like an amateur. The rebirth of Diame continues. Dummet, lejeune, lascelles immense, even Yedlin defended better.

  • HarryHype59

A surprise but essential win! Well done to Rafa and the players. Onwards and upwards for the next game!

    • MichaelMaximusMoose

Bournemouth were rubbish today, attack them and they fall apart

    • MichaelMaximusMoose

it`s a wonder Clarko hasn`t beamed down yet

    • Coach Clagnut

      Don’t forget Monkseaton Mental.

      • TheNutJob

        he`s mental ok

        • Coach Clagnut

He’s way past mental. He’s invented a new kind of deranged.
          I’m impressed.

      • TheFatController

He’ll be posting on Manc forums now – checkout Rusholme Red Devil’s comments …’the saviour Glazer’s don’t deserve Jose’ no doubt.

Then he’ll make us suffer somehow….

        • East Durham Mag

Just reading his post’s is bad enough.

    • Big Al 1967

Ghostrider will be very quiet. Unless he claims that the win was in spite of Rafa or Ashley picked the side and set out the tactics

    • Tino o

Don’t hear much from the fools or Rafa haters when we win

  • TheNutJob

aye, the Mighty Toon & no more of this rubbish about Jonjo, he`s got an outlet in Kenedy & Matts upped his game

    • Peaky Magpie

I think it was Albert Stubbins who said on here recently Ritchie would probably come good in the final part of the season…

      • TheNutJob

Your boys took one hell of a beating! Just finishing your sentence

    • GToon

You missed Gary Neville out of the list and that clown commentating with him who insists on calling them lot “United”. Newcastle v Man U would suffice.

  • Alreet

This could be the result of the season taking everything into accout. Home form. The opposition. Despo for points. No one giving us a chance.

Bring on the saints and lets have an unbeaten month.

  • GToon

We pressed them higher up the pitch today too. That was noticeable. Think Rafa got it right today, they had an off day and we had an on day. Just as well considering the league position as we kicked off. Gonna be exciting towards the end of the season. I reckon 38 points will do it.

    • Kev-82

I wouldn’t be surprised to see it need the 40 points mark this year, relegation’s aveaging about a point a game at the moment and the bottom teams most seasons always seem to find more form in the last couple of months.

      • GToon

I think wba have gone. Stokes next four or five games are really tough so that leaves one other. Swansea have injuries to bony and ferr and have won three and drawn two of their last five – that form won’t last. Huddersfield have lost four out of five and could repeat that.

        • TheFatController

A lot of years there’s a mid table team like Watford or Bournemouth that just can’t buy a win in the last 10.

Sadly I think they, West Ham, and palace have enough good players, but the rest know they are in it with us…

But the more that join us the merrier.

  • Tino o

You have To feel for Man U long journey back to London

    • Peaky Magpie

Aye and that ferry trip to Ireland must be awful on a night like this…

      • Tino o

        Ano heartbreaking 😂😂😂

  • nufcslf

The only downside to the result is thought of all of the smiling monkey’s on the blue half of Manchester. Oh! well, never mind.
