Slimani from the start for impact,we can take him off later if he tires rather than giving him 10 min’s at the end when we are trailing.

    • Leazes.

He’ll be awfully lonely standing in the center circle with his team mates thirty yards behind him.

Some points from Mike Ashleys Sky interview:
    1) He wanted to make N.U.F.C more than what is was before he took over FAILED !

    • Leazes.

Quote from Ashley Thursday 10.30 AM Pret-a-Manger, Central London.

      7) I’m not buying players for a club that I don’t care about.

I wish he’s gone to press ten years ago so I didn’t have to contradict those who were saying he’s saved the club!…. he’s killed it, he never cared about it…he’s a Chelsea fan, why would he?

      • kingfisher

Couldn’t have put it better myself, Leazes

        • MichaelMaximusMoose

the master of the pen, he should replace Ryder at the Chron

          • Leazes.

Wouldn’t have thought so as I’m dyslexic, thank goodness for spell check….thats young Chris’s place…. he’s a good lad really, just keeps bad company. 😁

            what`s going on we`re down to 17th

          • Leazes.

            they certainly do

crunch time for SloMo tomorrow, we`ll find out if his form can be sustained against a good team, i have my doubts as in 18 months he`s produced a half dozen good games. Merino won`t start, he`s not 100% & Rafael will either go his fav 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1.
i also think Slimani will be on the bench, so it`s the Hoss up top

The difference in quality between the two teams is staggering. Just look at the respective transfer window business of each club. They bought Arsenal’s best player for God knows how many tens of millions of Pounds, we signed an injured Leicester rerserve on loan. To be truthfull this is another of those games where I’d leave out anybody carrying an injury or close to suspension.

    • MichaelMaximusMoose

spot on, i wouldn`t risk any of them in this game, keep them for teams at our level

      • ghostrider

We are playing 11 men not 11 cyborg terminators.

        • StevieB

Exactly. Burnley showed we over treated Man city

    • ghostrider

The difference in quality is because they steal the best players and pay them fortunes, whilst dealing in the millions that make no rational sense for them.
When a club can pay players Β£250,000 a week, regularly and then go and double that wage for a swap player (Sanchez for Mkhitaryan) then you’re naturally going to have the pick of the best players along with the other moneybag elitist clubs.
The way to beat these teams is to beat them as a team by having a go and not just sitting back and allowing them to showboat.

we`re on the brink with today`s results.

The one thing we have going for us is that we’re used to being shiiite and being relegated cheers for that fatty!

      • ghostrider

        No we aren’t.

  • Mrkgw

    Yedlin. Lascelles. Mbemba. Dummett
    Ritchie. Merino. Diame. Kennedy

    • Leazes.

      I think you mean Salami.

      • Mrkgw

Haha, quite a clanger dropped there. Oh well, must be getting old.

Realistically, our next chance of any points is Bournemouth away and Southampton at home. What we need is 4 points from the next 4 games. That still leaves us in with a squeak. I would bring Slimani on tomorrow off the bench if we are still in it with 25 minutes to go.

    • ghostrider

If Rafa sets us up to play football for 90 minutes our next points can be from any game and any team.

    • mentalman

Better starting with slimani than bringing him on to chase the game

  • Alreet

Manu dont like it up em so id give Kenedy and ritchie a free winger role each. Push gayle up if slimani isnt ready. Put murphy behind him then shelvey and merino and a back line of yedlin. Lascelles. Mbemba and dummy. Id have dubruvka in goal. We need someone who can come for crosses and snub out corners now.

We need to have a go today. Otherwise we are just taking part.
