Antonio Conte has been talking to the media on Tuesday afternoon

The Chelsea boss giving his updates/views ahead of the League Cup semi-final second leg against Arsenal.

As well as that game on Wednesday, Antonio Conte has also been quizzed on transfers both in and out of Chelsea in the remaining days of this January transfer window.

Antonio Conte asked if Kenedy is indeed moving to Newcastle United:

“Yes Kenedy is going on loan (to Newcastle).

“We are talking about a young player with great potential but at this moment in his career, he must play regularly.

“To go to Newcastle, it’s a great challenge for him.

“It’s a good way for the club.

“We did the same for Christensen and now he’s always playing in the starting eleven.

“But he (Kenedy) must be ready to fight to play at Newcastle United.”

The player has been pictured on Tyneside, having his medical today.

Bit of a shame he can’t be involved on Sunday with it being Chelsea who Newcastle are up against in the FA Cup.

So Burnley in eight days time will be the first possibility when Newcastle fans may see the new loan signing and others…?

Interesting that Antonio Conte is talking about Kenedy in the same terms as Andreas Christensen, the now 21 year old Danish defender having spent two seasons on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga, before becoming a regular and what looks a very good player for Chelsea this season.

There have also been claims of a bid for a mysterious £20m striker by Newcastle but anything beyond loan signings will still take some believing by Newcastle supporters this month.

    We need a STRIKER!
Kenedy is probably a class player,BUT will he have what it takes to be up for a relegation battle!?

    • Virsino

      I honestly don’t know. ;-)

    • ghostrider

      Most probably not.
A quick flash in the pan and a whole lot of trouble, most likely.
But then again I’m a right misery lately.

Really? Here’s me thinking you’re the life and soul.

        • Cockneytrev

always ready with a bag of Bolivian cuckoo dust,,,

  • FatParosite

Bishop PR pushing this. Where will his agency be when 4 games down the line he’s no better than Arrons?

  • Asen Aleksiev

Moussa Dembele or Kevin Gameiro both linked with a bid in range of 20 mil

    • Mrkgw

Would b happy with Dembele. Either, in fact but media suggests that we are unlikely to go for the Celtic player.

      • Blackburn1066

        More like five bellys

    • Blackburn1066

      Moussa Sissoko more like it

  • Ivan

20m striker?!? Being fed a line again for season ticket renewals, predictable nonsense for the gullible

  • Mrkgw

Glad to see him sign but wish, that there was an option to buy. Shows how far the mighty have fallen when we can’t even buy our own players.

  • Blackburn1066

£20 mil its another crock from the little fat Tw-t

  • Blackburn1066

I see the little Fat man has sucked you all in again, he is a con man filling you with hope that we one day will have a great club again. He is up to something.
