Ryan Taylor has signed on with his latest club.
The former Newcastle United defender/midfielder was with Port Vale last season but left looking for a new club this summer.
He has now got the opportunity to sample a new country and league, after signing for ATK.
They are the reigning champions of the ISL (Indian Super League) and they have brought him in to replace the injured Carl Baker.
Ryan Taylor is 33 now and looking forward to the new challenge.
He will join up with Teddy Sheringham, the former England striker taking over as manager for this season, which began only last month (November).
Kolkata, Dec 12 (PTI) Two-time ISL champions ATK announced today that the team has signed former Newcastle United player Ryan Taylor as a replacement for the injured Carl Baker.
“I am very excited to play for ATK.
“I know that ATK has a huge fan following who share a high level of passion for their team.
“I will give my best for the team and we will get back to winning ways.”
Ryan Taylor was a great servant for Newcastle (actually signed when JFK was manager…) and a certain ‘over the wall’ goal against Sunderland will ensure he isn’t forgotten on Tyneside.
