The Premier League form table ahead of West Ham v Newcastle

The Premier League form table tells its own story for both Newcastle United and West Ham.

West Ham now one of six Premier League clubs to have changed managers already this season.

A bit of a surprise that the Hammers went for David Moyes, having taken Sunderland into the Championship, the new manager took up his new job on 7 November and lost 2-0 at Watford in his first match.

The next six have seen eight points and improved form and results in the last three, home games seeing a win over Chelsea and draw with Arsenal, whilst Saturday brought a 3-0 victory at Stoke. Lanzini blatantly dived for the penalty which produced the crucial opening goal and a retrospective FA ban for cheating means he won’t be involved on Saturday.

As for Newcastle United…no surprise to see the Magpies at the very bottom of this Premier League form table, only one point from 18 and indeed one point from 27 if including the previous three matches.

A defeat at West Ham could make for a very messy Christmas for Rafa and his players (and the fans!), with runaway leaders Man City up next, the Mancs having a faultless recent form.

Hope though after that Man City match, as the next two games are Brighton at home and Stoke away, the clubs second and third bottom of this recent form table. Swansea following those games and the Welsh club are only 16th based on the last six matches and bottom of the current full Premier League.

A key time coming up for Newcastle United and with pretty much a full squad to choose from, no excuses for the players if they don’t pick up points in these next three and a half weeks.
