Nothing gets past Paul Merson.

The Sky Sports pundit declaring ‘Newcastle are in a bad way’.

After losing six out of the last seven matches and only winning one of the last eleven Premier League games, Newcastle desperately need better news on Wednesday night.

He claims he cannot ‘separate these two’ teams and predicts a 1-1 draw.

Whilst Newcastle have been on their dismal run, Everton have actually picked up since October, winning three and drawing two of their six Premier League matches, despite having a number of injuries to deal with.

Little doubt that the visitors would be happier with a point, especially with Rafa’s team facing Arsenal and West Ham away, then Man City at home, in their next three games.

Paul Merson says that ‘Newcastle really have to go for it’ on Wednesday night even though it would leave them open to the counter-attack.

With five goals in the last three games, if Newcastle can just stop making mistakes at the back and giving the ball away in midfield, then they should do ok against Everton.

With confidence understandably shaken, fans will be looking for the players to lift themselves out of it, hopefully the expected return of captain Jamaal Lascelles can help make that happen.

Paul Merson talking to Sky Sports:

“Newcastle are in a bad way, losing six out of the last seven.

“This will be a draw, and I expect Everton to sit back a bit.

“Newcastle really have to go for it, but they will leave themselves open at the back like they did against Leicester, but Everton are nowhere near as good on the counter as Leicester.

“I cannot separate these two.

“Prediction: Newcastle 1 Everton 1.”

Restraint from the gimp, I predict 3-0 Everton

  • ghostrider

I predict a total meltdown as sad as it sounds.
I think Everton will put 6 or even 7 past us on Wednesday and leave the fans in no doubt about what Rafa Benitez is…which is an arrogant excuse making dinosaur.

      That`s being a bit silly

      • ghostrider

I sincerely hope to all hell that I am being silly with my thoughts on this, I really really do. In fact I beg to be totally wrong and somehow we turn things around.

The thing is my gut feeling is telling me different and it’s by far not a good feeling by a long stretch.

Ever thought of writing sketches for tales of the unexpected Graham?….

Graham Porter encourages Tax Evasion by assimilating the site BetVictor an offshore avoidance company….

Get 3 pundits who United fans dislike and in turn dislike United….. copy their weekly prediction and try to stimulate debate, but cant because we know the daft trick now.

Get three new pundits maybe… and you will see that the London and Salford media is really biased against united…. How about Jermain ‘Spurs should be building’ Jenas…. or John ‘Come on you spurs’ Motson ot Jonathan ‘too much sugar’ Pearce’….

Slag them all of and make your own prediction with Betfair a company which pays towards the NHS.
