Each player marked out of 10 and the averages below.

Some very interesting feedback from supporters on the performances at the London Stadium.

Easily man of the match was Christian Atsu (8.2), arguably having his best Newcastle match so far, scoring one and getting an assist for another.

Two other player recorded a mark of more than 7.0.

Jamaal Lascelles (7.4) was yet again a steadying influence, making the defence look so much better when he plays.

DeAndre Yedlin meanwhile, was back to his best when going forward and linking up with Matt Ritchie, whilst also doing a decent job in defence. He also played a crucial part in the match winning third goal.

After them comes a trio of players all on 7.0.

Rob Elliot was a little bit shaky put pulled off that crucial penalty save, whilst Matt Ritchie was back on form and very unlucky not to score his first goal of the season, his effrot coming back off the post.

Henri Saivet is the third one on 7.0, showing great character to score an excellent free-kick only a few minutes after gifting the opening goal.

Meanwhile, Ciaran Clark just missed out on that rating, earning a mark of 6.9, playing a key role in the second goal and helping to keep NUFC ahead in the closing stages.

In fact, the ratings show that it was a real team performance, with nobody in the starting eleven scoring under 6.2.

Joselu got a 6.2 rating as he battled away well up front and got an assist for the winner, whilst strike partner Dwight Gayle and left-back Javier Manquillo both earned a 6.3.

Scorer of the second goal, Mohamed Diame, completed the team with a 6.4.

The subs not really on long enough to get properly involved.
