Michael Owen thinks Newcastle have got a tough task on Saturday.
Claude Puel has been given a second chance in the Premier League after his summer sacking from Southampton.
Arriving at Leicester in late October he appears to have sorted his squad out and got them playing more towards their potential.
His six Premier League games in charge have seen only the one defeat and that was to runaway leaders Manchester City, whilst the last two games have seen wins over Spurs and Burnley.
If Claude Puel wins at St James Park, it will be the first time he has managed three wins in a row in the Premier League.
Rafa Benitez of course is a relative veteran, given a special award last night after having passed the point where he has managed over 1,000 professional games in football.
A big part of that has been spent in England after first arriving in 2004 at Liverpool.
He could set a new record himself tomorrow, the first time he has ever lost three home Premier League games in a row.
Newcastle could do with a win but a draw wouldn’t be disastrous and Michael Owen thinks a point will be won in ‘an entertaining draw’.
With players set to return from injury hopefully this will give Rafa and his squad the lift they need.
It is also tomorrow 125 years since the club was formed, it would be just too cruel if defeat ended up being part of this day of celebration.
Michael Owen speaking to Betvictor:
“Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has never lost three successive home PL games but the Magpies have only won once since mid-September and their dip in form is a major concern.
“Leicester boss Claude Puel – on the other hand – has never won three successive PL games but goes into the trip to St James’s Park on the back of successive wins.
“A point may suit the hosts more than the visitors but I expect to see an entertaining draw.
“The Prediction/Tip: Game to finish in a draw at 23/10.”
