Rafa Benitez reveals visit by 10 coaches from Madrid

Rafa Benitez has revealed that he hosted a visit by 10 coaches from Madrid.

The Newcastle manager invited them to see the facilities at St James Park, the training ground, and Newcastle United Academy.

Rafa Benitez saying it was a ‘privilege’ to ‘share experiences, points of view and knowledge’ with his countrymen.

It would be interesting to know what they made of the game against Bournemouth.

What is Spanish for ‘game of two halves’?

It would hardly have helped Rafa’s mood having his Madrid guests watch the shambolic second-half on Saturday, the players having done well in the first-half without getting the breaks in front of goal.

Rafa Benitez used his own personal website to release news of the Madrid coaches visit and ended the news piece quotes with an upbeat message.

Rafa saying: ‘Meanwhile, we keep working and preparing the next game against Manchester United – COME ON TOONS!!!’.

That game at Old Trafford looming in 12 days time.

Rafa Benitez via his own personal website:

“This weekend, we had the privilege enjoying a visit from the representatives of the Madrid Coach Committee, an association belonging to the Madrid Football Federation.

“We had the chance to share experiences, points of view and knowledge with the ten representatives who visited our stadium, before the Bournemouth clash on Saturday and in our sports facilities in Benton, showing them the Newcastle United Academy.

“For me, as always, this was a rewarding experience and I think it was the same for my work team.

“We’d like to express our gratitude to the Madrid Football Federation and to the Madrid Coach Committee for this pleasant visit.

“Meanwhile, we keep working and preparing the next game against Manchester United.
