Michael Owen has been looking forward to the visit of Newcastle United to Old Trafford.
Owen of course played for both clubs, although of course ‘played’ might be taking it a little bit too far.
Arriving at St James Park aged 26, Michael Owen then only started 64 Premier League matches in the next seven years.
Owen spending four years stealing a very lucrative living at Newcastle before jumping ship after relegation, then counting the cash for three seasons at Old Trafford.
(Finally, in 2012/13, he picked up more Premier League wages at Stoke, starting no league matches at all whilst there).
Michael Owen has made two predictions/tips.
He has gone for a 2-0 home win, as well as Romelu Lukaku to score.
The Belgian striker last scored a Premier League goal seven weeks ago but says that is set to change on Saturday.
Owen having nothing to say about Newcastle…apart from predicting the Magpies will get beat!
Michael Owen speaking to Betvictor:
“It was good to see Romelu Lukaku back among the goals during the international break and I think the striker can end his current barren spell against the Magpies.
“The Belgium international scored 11 goals in his first ten games for United but has not scored for seven games and his three goals for Belgium in their two recent friendlies will have done his confidence the world of good.”
