Yesterday we asked you the question…Which 11 players would you pick in Newcastle team v West Brom?

We put together a list of the 21 players who could potentially be selected on Tuesday night.

The likes of Paul Dummett, Christian Atsu, and Jamaal Lascelles, all left out of our list after widespread reports they still aren’t ready to return, though Isaac Hayden is now free from suspension and Mikel Merino is expected to be fully fit and able to start, rather than limited to coming off the bench.

Some very interesting movement from what Newcastle fans chose three days ago for Watford…

Overall, you have to say that this four match losing run, especially the last two games, has led to more of a spread of the votes, with fewer players getting overwhelming support.

A (justified) feeling he might not be fit enough to start on Saturday meant Mikel Merino had ‘only’ 90% fan support but now that has grown to 97% after doing ok as a sub against Watford and having extra few days training.

After the Spaniard, there are five other regulars with 82% or more fan support, these being Shelvey, Clark, Ritchie, Yedlin and Lejeuen.

DeAndre Yedlin appeared to be made a bit of a scapegoat for the Watford shambles but supporters still see him as a no-brainer for the team.

As Manquillo (down to 24% from 44%) continues to struggle, support grows for Chancel Mbemba (58% up to 75%).

Aleksandar Mitrovic is the striker with the highest vote (72% down to 70%) with Dwight Gayle (90% down to 64%) also in the top 11 in terms of supporter backing.

As for Joselu…down from 18% to only 5%.

Rob Elliot (80% to 69%) has taken another dip as conversely Karl Darlow creeps up from 23% to 30%.

Support for Jacob Murphy (47% to 62%) has further hardened as the winger was best of a bad bunch against Watford.

Interestingly, despite having 59% support now free of suspension, Isaac Hayden has only the 12th highest fan vote, as votes are spread around more.

A shocking performance from Mohamed Diame on Saturday has sent him from 8% down to 1% support.

Here is the percentage support for each player from the thousands of votes cast and in brackets the fan support/vote for the team selection v Watford on Saturday, then an image of how this fan selected team would potentially look:

97% (90%) Mikel Merino

The lack of support for Perez shows how little supporters know about football. Absolutely clueless supporters who haven’t got a clue what they’re are watching, and clearly know very little about football.

As much as I dislike Stanley Colliymore I agree with him that this is the worst premiership for years apart from Man City. Our own team is poor and only clueless supporters can think otherwise. Perez is average at best, but still better than Josiewho. Perez will never be a great goal machine and where does he fit in? The problem is that the bulk of our players are simply average with only a couple of exceptions. Roll on The Rafalution when he can spend some money on some decent players. We need to compete with the like of Watford who as I speak are being stuffed 0-3 by Man U. They were world beaters last Saturday against us.

If that team started i have no fear that we would have won. Why rafa persists with jose and perez where the last 2 goals we scored came from gayle and merino.

We proved in the last few games that you take away a combo of shelvey. Merino lascelles. And atsu and we are next to useless.
