The Newcastle v Crystal Palace match is now completely sold out.
Palace host Chelsea and Newcastle travel to Southampton this weekend, then Roy Hodgson’s team visit St James Park for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday 21 October.
All tickets in the home sections had already sold out, two weeks ahead of the match.
A week ago Crystal Palace revealed they still had 200 tickets left and now their local (South London) newspaper has confirmed that seven days later those final tickets have finally gone.
However, they are once again getting a little bit carried away about the level of Palace’s support.
The Croydon Advertiser declaring the Crystal Palace fans are ‘fantastic’ once again after ‘selling out the away end for the game at Newcastle’.
The paper adding ‘the Eagles will once again be backed by a sellout crowd’.
Well, the truth is that actually half the away end will be full of….Newcastle supporters.
Crystal Palace obviously realising they could never sell 3,200 tickets to their fans, even though it is a Saturday 3pm kick-off. So only taking an allocation of around half the away end at St James Park, believed to be around 1,500 tickets.
‘It’s another sellout! Crystal Palace to be backed by a strong following again at Newcastle United.
Palace fans show their support by selling out ticket allocation for trip to Newcastle.
Crystal Palace fans have been hailed as “fantastic” already this week, and they are proving so once again after selling out the away end for the game at Newcastle United later this month.
The Eagles make the long trip north on Saturday, October 21, with Palace set to face the Magpies in their latest away game this season.
And Palace have today (Tuesday) confirmed that their allocation of tickets has sold out, meaning the Eagles will once again be backed by a sellout crowd.’
