Newcastle United will go top six if they beat Southampton on Sunday afternoon.
Some interesting results have seen the path opened to Rafa Benitez rising up the table.
After the seven fixtures on Saturday, Newcastle stayed where they were in ninth position.
However, a victory at St Mary’s would see Newcastle guaranteed to go above Liverpool and at least level with Burnley and Arsenal (on goal difference), although winning by two or more would ensure at least clear sixth place.
An unlikely five goal win (or better) would mean Newcastle would end up above Chelsea as well and into fifth place.
Some of the usual names are dominating at the top of the Premier League but Liverpool and Arsenal are lacking the killer instinct at times and also looking fragile at the back.
The Gunners led at Watford only to concede two goals late on, including the winning goal in injury time.
