Jeff Stelling has revealed that he’s now raised over £800,000 for charity in the past two years.
The Sky Sports presenter walked 400 miles this summer to raise over £375,000 towards that total.
This latest walk taking Jeff Stelling from Exeter’s St James Park to the Tyneside one.
The presenter declaring ‘The raucous welcome from the Geordie supporters as I made the final steps into St James’ Park is something I’ll never forget’.
“The new football season may be well underway, and league tables are starting to take shape up and down the country, but I wanted to take a moment to thank you for getting behind my 400-mile March for Men in June and for supporting Prostate Cancer UK.
“I’m immensely proud to have completed this challenge for Prostate Cancer UK, a charity incredibly close to my heart.
“It was an amazing journey, all the way from Exeter City to Newcastle United with some amazing local support and the raucous welcome from the Geordie supporters as I made the final steps into St James’ Park is something I’ll never forget.
“Over two years I’m proud to have raised more than £800,000 for this brilliant charity, from Hartlepool to Wembley, and now Exeter to Newcastle, through footballing hotbeds, up hills and down dales with an amazing cast of friends old and new, celebrity and civilian but united with one aim, to tame this dreadful disease.”
