Wednesday afternoon saw The FA announce that they had dismissed the appeal by Tomer Hemed.

The Brighton striker found guilty of violent conduct after clearly stamping on Newcastle’s DeAndre Yedlin during Sunday’s match.

Tomer Hemed says he accepts the decision, well he doesn’t have any choice as I doubt the European Court of Human Rights would be sympathetic…, but the Brighton player still protests his innocence.

Hemed has released a personal statement after the decision and Brighton supporters have responded with some pretty cringeworthy comments, enjoy them below.

Tomer Hemed statement via Twitter:

“I accept the decision against me but I do not agree with it and I am devastated to miss three matches.

“I would never go out to injure a fellow professional on purpose, and those of my friends and teammates who know me, know that this is not in my nature.

“I will use the time to get fitter, stronger and come back hungrier to score more goals for Brighton in the Pfremier League.”

Brighton fans respond…

“We’ve got your back Tomer.”

“U don’t deserve this, you had your eyes on the ball and where else was your foot supposed to go.”

“Top man Tomer, no Brighton fan doubts you integrity. Will be missed but know you will be kicking every ball.”

“We will miss your presence but like you say you will come back fitter stronger and hungrier for goals and glory.”

“It’s completely out of order. Make sure you comeback and score a hatful. FA = Joke.”

“Unbelievable decision, it was completely not intended !!!!!!”

“He tried to tackle you, you where watching the ball the whole time everyone can see it wasn’t deliberate, keep your head held high.”

“We the Brighton supporters know that you would never do that intentionally..seems unjust..work hard and put it behind you.”

“It’s completely wrong! You are a gentleman & a true professional who can keep his head held high.”

“You dont deserve the ban. Obviously no intent. No one talking about the poor challenge that led to the incident.”

“What has the FA got against our club? We never win appeals! Probably hate the togetherness of the club. We’ll miss u but b back stronger.”

“Everyone knows you were watching the ball & there was no intent. I’ve never seen you play a game with malice.  Come back stronger.”

“Thought NUFC are supposed to be a big club.Their fans reaction to this is so embarrassingly tinpot #indecline #nostamp #justicefortomer.”

“Travesty. Bizarre outcome.”

“You did nothing on purpose @tomerhemed10 we all know it and we all have huge respect for you! Get stronger and you’ll be back scoring more!”

“What a ridicules decision you can see it was no intentional. You will be missed x.”

“I believe it was not deliberately. Stay strong Tomer, we are proud on you.”

“The difference between Shelvy and you Hemed is that he looked directly at what he was standing on and you were looking straight ahead. Safe.”

“I’m gutted for you tomer! We now call you the tomernator YOU WILL BE BACK.”</strong
