Paul Merson gives his verdict on Newcastle United’s transfer window
The transfer window finally closed at 11pm on Thursday night and Paul Merson has been judging the business done at Newcastle United and the rest of the other Premier League clubs.
Deadline day saw much speculation but no signings added to the six already made by Rafa Benitez, though Achraf Lazaar and Tim Krul were confirmed in the final minutes of the window as having signed on loan for Benevento and Brighton respectively.
