An exclusive on Friday afternoon reports that Nobby Solano is going to land his first management job in English football after this weekend’s games
Teamtalk say that their information is that the former Newcastle midfielder will take charge of Gillingham after they have played against Charlton.
They report that the announcement will then follow the departure of current boss Aidy Pennock.
Gillingham are currently rock bottom of League One with three points from the opening 21.
Last season they finished only one place and one point above the relegation spots down to League Two.
Teamtalk say that Gillingham’s Director of Football, Peter Taylor, has already told current manager Aidy Pennock that the game this weekend will be his last.
The report adds that Nobby Solano will have former Leyton Orient manager, Ian Hendon, as his assistant.
