Embarrassing/Amusing U-turn by Spurs fans over Moussa Sissoko
A special day for Moussa Sissoko.
The £30m superstar came on for the final 15 minutes at Huddersfield with Spurs three up, then in the final seconds he managed a goal!
A total fluke mind – but nevertheless a goal, taking a deflection off an opposition player to help it into the net.
It was the first Moussa Sissoko goal for Tottenham as he repays his transfer fee…the attacking midfielder’s second goal in over two years four months.
In the lead up to today’s game, Mauricio Pochettino had revealed that they were left stuck with Sissoko this season simply because nobody tried to take him in the summer.
Newcastle fans did see Moussa Sissoko play some very good games but they were very very few and far between.
An amusing/embarrassing reaction from the Spurs fans, based on so very little, some playing it for laughs but others obviously very serious…
Spurs fans comment via their top Fighting Cock message board:
‘Glad to see Moussa Sissoko gradually proving the melters wrong and showing why you have to support everyone who wears the shirt.’
‘Delighted for Sissoko. Up the spurs. Absolutely deadly away from home.’
‘Still doesn’t look 30 mill, but Ive eaten a couple of spoons of humble pie this month.’
‘Lol fitting goal for Sissoko. Good for him though.’
‘So glad he’s scored but my god that was a truly rubbish goal.’
‘That won’t be a Sissoko goal, will be OG. Massive deflection from an off target shot.
If Sissoko could shoot he would actually be a very good player.’
‘Wahaaay! Way to go Moussa!’
‘Hahahaha Sissoko – He scores when he wants.’
‘Sissoko scored. Omg!!’
‘Sissoko, it’s been coming.’
‘Doesnt he just deserve that!! Well done Sissoko.’
‘Sissoko’s striking of the ball is appalling.’
‘And with his weaker foot….!’
‘Good play only for a weak finish. But steady improvement is what we need, so I’m not bothered.’
‘Sissoko’s confidence now is incredible.’
‘Sissoko is amazing.’
‘Sissoko has more goals than Crystal Palace this season!’
‘He’s played every game this season and done well honestly. He’s not a brilliant player. But he’s useful now.
Probably the perfect word to describe Sissoko now. Useful.’
‘That was really the type of goal that sissoko would score.’
‘It was on his weak foot and he bent it in…’
