  • Scooter

i hope he proves me wrong but Joselu is second rate, he does a lot of movement & takes up good positions but produces absolutely nothing

    • Clarko

Is that based on his performance in the Stoke game?

      • Scooter

it`s based on his performances over 7 years, you`re the stats man go figure

        • Clarko

So you have watched him play throughout his career, during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt, Hannover 96, Celta de Vigo, Stoke City, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Deportivo de La Coruña and Real Madrid?

          • Jimblag23

            What does transfermarkt say?

          • Clarko

Can you read? Go and look yourself.

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

            it says he`s krap

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

you need to take a pill & lie down Joselu`s krap end of story

          • Clarko

            Get an education.

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

            Ha ha

      • MichaelMaximusMoose

Beam down Clarko the match is starting

    • Jimblag23

People keep digging at Joselu but we’ve been winning with him in the team.
      Is that coincidence?
      Time will tell.

      • MichaelMaximusMoose

that`s no excuse for not improving the team, Perez & Joselu are the weak links in attack, put it this way, how many goals have they scored or produced

        • Jimblag23

You may well be right but I wouldn’t change a winning formula.
He’s given the team a dimension we didn’t have in the first 2 games.
But I’m not trying to argue he’s about to become Kane anytime soon.

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

id still start Gayle but like Scooter I hope Joselu comes good but I can’t see it

        • Wor Lass

Perez is improving, though. I agree he needs to do more in attack but he works his socks off and is our first line of defence. The PL suits him better than the Chumpionship.

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

I like Perez but he needs to get into more scoring positions

          • Wor Lass

            No argument there.

    • Wor Lass

I see Clarko is communicating with you using ESP!

      • MichaelMaximusMoose

        😂😂😂

  • Simon Ritter

What Steve Sidwell has just said on BBC 5 Live: “Newcastle striker Joselu was one of the best finishers at Stoke when I was there, he was frightening. Any of the players at Stoke will tell you he’s unreal – left foot, right foot, in the air, inside the box, out of the box. If it clicks, he will go into double figures.” Let’s hope Sidwell is proved correct today.

    • MichaelMaximusMoose

he scored 4 goals in a season, Jesus wept

      • Jezza

It’s hard to see him even emulating that total this season the way he’s going.

        • MichaelMaximusMoose

He won`t, in fact after today he must be 3rd choice

          • Jezza

The club worked their socks off all summer to shift the useless Riviere then they went out and bought somebody else’s Riviere. What a shambles.

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

And more we got rid of some dross only to find out that Sels & Diame aren`t up to it now you can add Jeselu. thats £15m plus we have a £12m winger on the bench, it`s madness

          • Jezza

Yes and to think that Fatso pulled the plug on the Tammy Abraham loan deal for the sake of £1 million plus a house. Would have been a far better signing than Joselu.

    • Andy Mac

      Maybe he’s just a good trainer ?

  • Soldier

Joselu missed again & we`re under pressure from Brighton, you can`t afford to miss chances at this level

    • 1957

Not only has he missed a sitter but he is contributing nothing in respect of holding the ball up to allow players to get forward and support. The ball goes forward and is generally coming straight back towards our half

      • MichaelMaximusMoose

Spot on, i think we`ll see Gayle at some stage in the 2nd half,
        id sub Joselu now

        • 1957

We are just as likely to see SloMo first

          • MichaelMaximusMoose

            i hope not

    • Jezza

That’s what you get for £5 million. Lack of goals is going to be our undoing this season.

  • BenMagpie

Perez has the same barber as Kim Jong-un

    • Leazes Ender

      Best beef dripping.

  • MichaelMaximusMoose

We`ve had the better chances but can`t finish

  • MichaelMaximusMoose

    The Toon`s 1 down

  • Wor Lass

    Another great ssve by Elliot

    • Andy Mac

      Who needs Pepe Reina ?

  • Andy Mac

Three players in the PL who cant hit a bovine rear and we’ve got them all ? 🤔

  • Kev-82

Losing and we bring a striker on…….in place of another striker. Love to know what goes on in the mind of Benitez at times.

  • DC1964

    No attacking threat today whatsoever!

    • Jezza

We are paying the price for Fatso’s refusal to give Rafa adequate funds for a decent striker in the summer.

      • MichaelMaximusMoose

        Couldn`t agree more

        • Leazes Ender

          I agree

    • Andy Mac

We’ll huff and we’ll puff and we’ll huff again…………………and Joselu is a problem. The more he misses sitters the more his team mates think they’re not going to get a goal.

NUFC need an attacking threat that the opposition fear and will score if given cast iron chances ! So spend some money Fatman or sell up !

      • DC1964

        Totally agree.

  • MichaelMaximusMoose

Lets see if the league do anything about the disgraceful stamp on Yedlin by Hemed, 3 match ban

    • Jezza

They never do anything when it’s a Newcastle player on the receiving end.

      • MichaelMaximusMoose

to true Jezza, i`m waiting to see what if anything happens
