Newcastle v Nottingham Forest tickets – Watch out for tickets doubling in price if leave it late

Newcastle v Nottingham Forest tickets went on sale to season ticket holders on Monday, then members on Tuesday, now today (Wednesday) they are opened up to the general public.

The game is next Wednesday 23 August with a kick-off of 7.45pm.

Prices have been set at a reasonable £10 for adults and £5 concessions but just as NUFC did last year for cup games, as well as the pre-season friendly against Hellas Verona, these prices double if you leave it until the day of the match.

The game will see a quick return for Daryl Murphy after his summer move for £2m to Forest.

He has hit the ground running and followed up a goal in the 4-3 win at Brentford, with a goal last night in a 2-1 defeat at Barnsley, making it two goals in three Championship matches for his new club.

Daryl Murphy wasn’t involved when Forest beat Shrewsbury in the last round but difficult to see him not involved next Wednesday night at St James Park, when he will undoubtedly get a decent reception after doing well whenever called upon last season for Newcastle.

Newcastle United official announcement:

‘Season ticket holders can now purchase their seat for this month’s Carabao Cup second round tie against Nottingham Forest.

Kick-off at St. James’ Park on Wednesday, 23rd August, is 7.45pm BST.

Ticket prices have been set at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. However, that will rise to £20 for adults and £10 concessions on the day of the game.

On Monday, 14th August, season ticket holders are able to purchase their seat (only the lower area of the ground will initially be open).

The following day, season ticket holders will be able to buy alternative seats, plus extras, while tickets will also go on sale to members.

And on Wednesday, 16th August, seats will be released for full general sale.

Original Platinum Bond holders (Milburn Stand areas L2C, L2D, L2E and L2F) do not need to take any action; their match ticket will be posted out.

To secure your seat, please visit, call 0844 372 1892 (calls cost 7p per minute plus your network access charge) or visit the St. James’ Park Box Office in person.’
