Which of these Newcastle striker options do you want by end of transfer window? Vote now

What Newcastle striker options would you like to see at the club by the time we reach Friday morning?

After a whole summer of opportunity, it would be unrealistic to expect too much to happen in the next 72 hours but very likely we could see one addition up front if Rafa Benitez gets his way.

Joselu arrived from Stoke City for £5m and scored his first goal on Saturday, so he will obviously one of the options open to Newcastle this season.

However, throughout the summer it has been made clear that Rafa Benitez would be willing to let Aleksandar Mitrovic go, having only given him 11 starts last season and then instantly playing Joselu ahead of him – both at Huddersfield as a sub and then Saturday as a starter.

Meanwhile, the weekend brought claims that Rafa/Newcastle were happy to sell Dwight Gayle and bring in a replacement, after he failed to threaten in the opening two matches.

The bottom line is that we appear to have three likely scenarios and a fourth less likely one.

Newcastle could end up with Joselu, Gayle & Mitro as the three strikers relied on, alternatively Gayle or Mitrovic could leave and another forward arrive on loan or permanently – less likely obviously would be both strikers to leave and another two be recruited.

So what would your preference be?

Obviously having to vote blind in terms of who the striker replacement(s) would be but interested to see what the mood is with 72 hours remaining of the window.
