One of the stars of the Ghana national side, Christian Atsu has at last found a permanent club football home.

Not playing a single game for Chelsea after they bought him from Porto in 2013, last season saw Newcastle being the winger’s fifth loan location.

Shortly after the season ended, Rafa Benitez agreed to make the deal permanent at the pre-agreed £6m mark.

Starting all three Premier League matches so far, Christian Atsu had a really good game on Saturday and laid on the opening goal for Joselu.

Keeping track of their stars around the World, top Ghana football website GHANASoccernet.com have selected their 11 Ghanaian players in the various leagues, following this weekend’s action.

Christian Atsu named amongst the 11 players with also a write-up below:

‘It was a monumental victory for the Magpies on Saturday and the architect of the unsullied win was the fleet footed Ghana international.

Atsu was a threat down the right-hand side of midfield for Newcastle as they took Andre Ayew’s West Ham United to the cleaners.

The former Chelsea flop could have registered his name of the score sheet when he had goalkeeper Joe Hart at his mercy but he teed up the ball for Spanish striker Joselu to power home the side’s opener.’
