Newcastle and Norwich have today agreed a transfer fee for Jacob Murphy.

The midfielder is now flying to Dublin to meet up with the Newcastle squad and finalise the deal.

The clubs were said to be some £6m apart (£10m/£16m) on valuation and the agreed compromise price is said to be around the £12m/£12.5m mark.

So what is Rafa Benitez getting for his money and what can Newcastle fans expect to see.

Enjoy this goals and skills video below of Jacob Murphy.

The Mag earlier today (17 July 2017):

‘Newcastle United have had a bid accepted for Jacob Murphy.

The Telegraph have broken the news, reporting that an offer of £12.5m has been accepted.

The likes of Sky Sports, The Mail and others have followed that up by confirming the transfer, though Sky Sports say a figure of ‘around £12m’.

Whilst The Times say the deal is ‘a little over £10m with £2m add ons’.

Pictured above with his brother Josh who is also with Norwich, Jacob Murphy scored nine goals and grabbed six assists last season in the Championship.

The pair are childhood Newcastle fans with close family ties to the north east.

The Norwich winger was said to have caught Rafa Benitez’ eye last season, scoring both home and away against Newcastle and also getting an assist at St James Park.

The expectation that a transfer was happening last week ended in what seemed stalemate, with Newcastle sticking to a £10m valuation and Norwich £16m, though there were suggestions that the Canaries could be prepared to compromise at around £12m.’
