Huddersfield v Newcastle tickets info released – Premier League rules keep prices down & allocation up

The Huddersfield v Newcastle tickets will go on sale on Monday.

The match is United’s first away game of the season and is in 33 days time, moved to Sunday 20 August for live TV.

Initially, only those with 100 loyalty points or more can get tickets on Monday, though that will fall in the following days.

Two bits of good news though thanks to a return to the Premier League.

Last season Newcastle fans got less than two thousand tickets for Huddersfield but due to Premier League rules, away fans are now allocated 2,340 seats.

Another Premier League rule that will ease things slightly for away fans, is that an upper price limit of £30 is now in place for travelling supporters for any game, Huddersfield electing to charge the maximum they are allowed to charge Newcastle fans, the full £30.

The Football Supporters Federation have campaigned for a £20 (twenty’s plenty) maximum for away supporters and the current £30 limit is a step in the right direction.

Newcastle United official announcement:

Tickets for Newcastle United’s Premier League clash at Huddersfield Town will go on sale to season ticket holders with 100 or more loyalty points on Monday, 24th July.

The Magpies travel to the John Smith’s Stadium on Sunday, 20th August (1.30pm kick-off), in what will be their first away game since their return to the top flight.

United have been given an allocation of 2,340 tickets for the fixture, with admission priced at £30 for adults, £20 for over-60s and £15 for under-18s. Tickets for supporters using a wheelchair are priced at £20 (£15 for juniors), with one carer able to attend for free.

Please note that children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
