Gateshead 0 Newcastle 3 – Saturday 22 July 3pm

Only 622 were in attendance with the visitors lacking any big names.

Despite that, those who did turn up were treated to three very good goals (watch them all below) from Newcastle United’s second string.

Yasin Ben El-Mhanni produced an excellent low finish into the bottom right hand corner after 10 minutes, only for Victor Fernandez to better that with a top right hand corner finish from even further out, to give Newcastle a two goal lead at the break.

Substitute Dan Ward then added a third in the second-half when a great pass over the top was expertly controlled with his right foot before a clever finish with his left.
