Newcastle v Barnsley will play out in front of a sellout crowd at St James Park on Sunday.

If United get a better result than Brighton (away at Villa), then Rafa’s boys will be crowned champions.

All home tickets went instantly, whilst Barnsley have sold all of the 2,700+ tickets they took.

The match isn’t going to be shown live on Sky Sports, the broadcaster instead showing the relegation battle live, with matches featuring Forest and Blackburn.

As for the foreign TV channels, they aren’t listing Newcastle v Barnsley as a game they are showing, so bars in the UK/Tyneside won’t be able to pick up their coverage either.

However, late news means that some Newcastle fans without match tickets WILL get to see the game ‘live’.

Two bars that are showing the match are the Terrace Bar and Nine Bar.

The latter has announced that the two bars which are at the Gallowgate end of the stadium, will have an exclusive feed to show the game live.

They say doors open at 9am (it is a 12 noon kick-off) and once they are full they are full…

Announcement by Newcastle United’s Nine Bar:

Newcastle vs Barnsley – Watch the match LIVE!

‘NINE Sports Bar & Lounge

Doors open at 9am tomorrow and we’re serving breakfast all morning!

We are anticipating a very busy matchday as only ourselves and ‘The Terrace Bar’ are showing this (Newcastle v Barnsley) game, so when our venue reaches capacity, we will not be allowing anyone extra in. Early arrival is advised to avoid disappointment.’
