Terry McDermott, what a career.

Winning trophies, conquering Europe and playing for England…but most importantly, a key figure at Newcastle United in the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s.

Part of the Joe Harvey/Supermac team, then a key figure when promoted under Arthur Cox with that Beardsley/Waddle/Keegan frontline.

Best known now on Tyneside for working alongside Kevin Keegan and almost winning the Premier League in 1996, then followed time at St James Park with the likes of Sam Allardyce and Graeme Souness…

Terry Mac’s autobiography is now on sale BUT we have five signed copies to give away!

To be in with a chance of winning a signed copy simply complete and submit the entry form at the bottom of this page.
Terry McDermott: Living For The Moment

‘Terry McDermott. Scally kid from Kirkby turned multiple European Cup winner. Kevin Keegan’s trusted assistant at Newcastle United. Privy to the sensational goings on at St James’ Park under Mike Ashley’s ownership. And partial to a pint or five and a punt on the horses.

Now, for the first time, Terry Mac lifts the lid on his successes at Liverpool, the near misses at Newcastle, controversies he found himself caught up in and the players he shared a St James’ Park dressing room with.

A read every bit as explosive as ‘the entertainers’ were going forward, McDermott’s autobiography will appeal to Newcastle fans and features a foreword from Keegan whom Terry was so close to that they had vasectomies on the same day! Other memories include…

Playing alongside Geordie legends such as Malcolm MacDonald and numerous crazy nights out on the Toon.

Being a member of England’s 1982 World Cup squad in Spain before returning to Newcastle to play alongside Keegan as promotion back to the First Division was won.

Coaching the Magpies alongside King Kev as they came close to winning the Premier League in 1996 and his take on the rows that led to Keegan’s shock departure.

Life at St James’ Park working under Souness, Glenn Roeder and Sam Allardyce, Keegan’s return and how the club changed under the ownership of Mike Ashley and the fall-outs that followed.

(Terry also did OK as a player at Liverpool…!)

Terry McDermott: Living For The Moment, RRP £18.99. Terry will be signing copies of his new book Living For The Moment on Saturday 29th April 12pm in WHSmiths Newcastle.

To enter simply complete and submit the entry form below.

Closing date is midnight Thursday 27 April and then five winners will be picked at random and contacted for delivery address on Friday (28 April).
