Ipswich 3 Newcastle 1 – Official match highlights

No doubting the highlight of Ipswich 3 Newcastle 1.

A flowing move saw a great ball down the line from Paul Dummett, Christian Atsu took it in his stride and centred, with Daryl Murphy tucking it into the corner.

Sadly, that was pretty much the entire ‘highlights’ of the match where Newcastle were concerned.

Apart from in the first half some tricky wing play also from Paul Dummett(!!!), which ended with his perfect cross put wide by Matt Ritchie.

This video footage actually gives a pretty good insight into the match overall and how second best Newcastle were.

The only bit they haven’t included is missing the start of the build-up to the first goal.

Matt Ritchie twisting and turning into trouble on the halfway line in the middle of the pitch, with at the same time Hayden and Yedlin recklessly gambling by running ahead of the ball, leaving Newcastle’s goal very exposed.
