Confirmed Newcastle team v Ipswich – 5 changes as Hanley, Murphy, Atsu, Yedlin, Diame play
The Newcastle team v Ipswich has just been announced.
Newcastle currently trailing four points behind Brighton and eight points ahead of Huddersfield (a game in hand) before Monday’s fixtures,
Rafa Benitez makes five changes to the team that drew with Leeds.
DeAndre Yedlin comes in for Vurnon Anita, whilst more surprisingly Hanley replaces Mbemba.
That leaves the centre of defence with zero pace and also, the consensus amongst fans appeared to be that Mbemba was better than Lascelles on Friday, as the Captain went missing on the equaliser.
Meanwhile, left wing sees Christian Atsu get his turn instead of Gouffran.
Whilst the front two are swapped, Murphy and Diame in for Mitrovic and Perez.
Newcastle United:
Darlow, Yedlin, Lascelles, Hanley, Dummett, Ritchie, Shelvey, Hayden, Atsu, Diame, Murphy
Subs:
Elliot, Gamez, Mbemba, Colback, Gouffran, Perez, Mitrovic
