Latest Championship Live TV Games revealed

The latest round of Championship Live TV Games has been announced.

The four matches don’t involve Newcastle United but they do at least confirm when a couple of NUFC fixtures will be played.

From this point, the EFL will be releasing live matches little by little, probably on a weekly basis.

Today’s announcement means that the home matches (see list of Newcastle fixtures below) with Wigan and Burton will stay on their respective dates/times.

However, the away game at Sheff Wed on Sat 8 April must be a knocking bet for live broadcast and the best guesstimate is that we will hear that news in a week’s time.

EFL Official Announcement Tuesday 14 February:

The latest round of live TV fixtures has been revealed today, with four EFL games selected to appear live on Sky Sports across March and early April.

The confirmed list of games selected for live coverage are as follows:

Fri 31st Mar: Derby County v Queens Park Rangers (7:45pm)

Sat 1st Apr: Reading v Leeds United (5:30pm)

Tue 4th Apr: Rotherham United v Sheffield Wednesday (7:45pm)

Wed 5th Apr: Huddersfield Town v Norwich City Kick-off (7:45pm)

Today’s announcement is the first since the EFL and Sky moved to the rolling five-week minimum commitment as we approach the business end of the season. Further fixtures for later in April will be announced as they are confirmed.

Further fixtures will be announced on a rolling basis between now and the end of the season.

The EFL has made a joint commitment with broadcast partner Sky to ensure all clubs and supporters are given a minimum of five weeks’ notice ahead of any matches being rescheduled for live television coverage.

The advanced notice is designed to provide supporters with as much time as possible to allow for any alterations to travel plans that may be required.
