Three young Newcastle stars set for temporary move north of the border – Reports
Lee Clark has made an approach to take three young Newcastle stars on loan for the rest of the season, according to reports on Sunday morning.
Kilmarnock are fighting a relegation battle and are currently third bottom, four points ahead of Inverness who currently hold last place.
Lee Clark is attempting to use his Newcastle connections to take England Under 21 keeper Freddie Woodman, winger Callum Roberts and attacking midfielder Sean Longstaff, according to the Chronicle.
Kilmarnock have failed to win any of their last half dozen matches and are dropping like a stone, picking up only three points out of the last 18.
On Tuesday they visited Hearts and were hammered 4-0, to help Ian Cathro to his first win as a Manager.
It would also be a major surprise if Rafa Benitez doesn’t show interest in using his former coach to help develop some of his younger players, on a temporary basis, with surely the idea also appealing to Ian Cathro.
