Three more Newcastle United loan deals have been confirmed.
After the very messy Rangers five strong loan arrangement, we now have three young NUFC players heading to Kilmarnock.
Freddie Woodman, Sean Longstaff and Callum Roberts join up with one-time Newcastle midfielder and coach, Lee Clark.
Kilmarnock are currently third bottom of the Scottish Premier League which is currently on a winter break.
The next fixture sees a Scottish Cup game on Saturday 21 January when Kilmarnock entertain Hamilton.
Official Newcastle United Announcement:
‘United youngsters Sean Longstaff, Callum Roberts and Freddie Woodman have all joined Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock on loan until the end of the season.
Managed by former Magpies midfielder Lee Clark, Killie currently sit tenth in the standings – though they are only three points shy of the top half.
Longstaff is the leading marksman for Peter Beardsley’s second-string this term, with ten goals to his name in all competitions.
For Woodman, it is the third loan move of his career so far, the ‘keeper having previously enjoyed spells with Hartlepool United and Crawley Town.
Roberts, meanwhile – who spent a short period with Gateshead during the 2014/15 campaign – has netted six times in his last nine appearances for Beardsley’s side – including a first half winner in Saturday’s Premier League 2 Division Two clash against Brighton & Hove Albion at Little Benton.
The trio could make their competitive bow for Killie when Hamilton Academical visit Rugby Park in the Scottish Cup later this month.’
