With only a couple of hours of the transfer window remaining, Leeds United have announced the signing of Newcastle target Modou Barrow.

The winger has signed initially on loan from Swansea City until the end of the season, the Elland Road outfit having earlier today signed Alfonso Pedraza from Villarreal, also on loan.

So far, as published by BBC Sport, the number of players signed by Championship clubs now stands at around 80 throughout this 31 day period, with Gabriel Obertan one of the later ones, signing for Wigan tonight until the end of the season.

More pertinently maybe for Newcastle United, they are the only club in the top seven who have not strengthened their squad this month, in all, the other six clubs in that top seven have made 17 signings (details of each one listed below) between them.
