Christian Atsu turns on brilliant skills for Ghana to show why Newcastle won’t let him go – Video

Christian Atsu was named player of the tournament in the last (2015) African Cup of Nations.

The lead up to this tournament has seen nonsense claiming he was heading to Turkey and not Tyneside when this year’s tournament is over but both Christian Atsu and Rafa Benitez have rubbished those claims now (see below).

In their final warm up match, Ghana played and beat Uzbekistan club side FC Bunyodkor 2-0, now they have released video footage (watch below)  from the match of some superb skills from Christian Atsu as he sets up one of the goals.

Hoping for plenty of this when he returns to St James Park.

Rafa Benitez asked if Christian Atsu was leaving:

“No chance.

“I am in contact with the three players in Africa and especially Atsu.

“I will tell you now that he is really pleased and really happy here, we have the player on loan with an option.

“Nothing has changed: the player is happy, we have the control and a very good relationship with Chelsea.

“So everything is fine.”

Ghanasoccernet.com quoting associates of the Newcastle winger:

“Christian Atsu has no plans of leaving England at the moment.

“He has no interest in joining any team in Turkey.

“He is enjoying his life at Newcastle United  at the moment and wants to continue with his progress at the club.

“In the worse case scenario, he will stay in the top leagues of Europe.”
