Revealed: Blackburn Away Tickets almost sold out
Revealed on Tuesday morning that the Blackburn away tickets are close to selling out.
Newcastle fans were allocated the entire Darwen Road End, with Blackburn moving some of their own season ticket holders to accommodate as many away supporters as possible.
This is Newcastle’s biggest away allocation of the season – but whilst various websites show the capacity of the Darwen Road End as 8,000, it appears the figure could be nearer 7,000 if the experience of other clubs’ fans is to be taken as a guide.
Newcastle United have revealed today that over 5,000 Blackburn away tickets have already been sold in the days since they went on sale to season ticket holders.
With probably less than two thousand tickets remaining on sale, there looks to be fading hopes for members that any will be available in seven days time when they are due to go on sale to them.
At the moment it is all season ticket holders who can apply, with no loyalty points restrictions.
Official Newcastle United announcement:
Tickets for Newcastle’s Sky Bet Championship game at Blackburn Rovers are due to go on sale to Members next week.
United travel to Ewood Park on Monday, 2nd January 2017 and Rafa Benitez’s side will be looking to make up for their 1-0 defeat to Rovers at the end of last month. Seats initially went on sale to all season ticket holders and more than 5,000 have already been sold.
They are due to go on sale to Members at 10am on Tuesday, 13th December, subject to availability.
Ticket prices are £30 for adults, £22 for seniors (65 and above) and 18-to-21-year-olds, and £12 for juniors (17 and under).
Any supporter purchasing at the incorrect age band risks non entry on matchday as upgrading at the visiting club is not necessarily permitted on the day.
Age bands away from home vary on a game-by-game basis and do not necessarily mirror your age band held at Newcastle United. It is essential that the correct age band is selected at the time of purchase to prevent any disappointment on the day at the visiting club.
As with last season, in order to be sure of sitting together season ticket holders and Members must be registered in an away travel group before purchasing tickets (maximum of ten persons per one group).
All youngsters under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
