Forest boss says ‘Red card was incredible and changes the game’ – Makes the result even sweeter
Philippe Montanier had really made my night.
It was satisfying to see Newcastle win and go back to the top of the Championship without playing that well but…
To hear the Forest boss whingeing about poor decisions by officials changing the course of the match – is just priceless!!!!
Rather than having a go at his own player for the indiscipline that brought the sending off when the scores were tied at 1-1, Philippe Montanier chooses to blame outside forces.
To have the nerve after what happened at the City Ground four weeks ago, to whinge about not having the chance to have 11 v 11, is just so sweet.
“I prefer not to comment on what has happened (Matt Mills red card), it’s incredible and it changes the game.
“We had a good first half, a good reaction after the unlucky goal, we draw level and have opportunities to score and 11 against 11 we can hope for a better result.
“To concede so quickly the second goal after going down to 10 men, it was too tough.”
