After Alan Pardew is sacked some quality comments from Crystal Palace fans
Just six days short of the two year anniversary of him walking out on Newcastle, Alan Pardew has been sacked by Crystal Palace.
Enjoy the comments below from Crystal Palace fans on hearing the news…
Rumours of Palace having to pay Pards £5m show just how much he really loves the club but a price worth paying for most of their fans.
However, fair to say that fear is stalking the streets of South London for most Palace supporters, as the spectre of Fat Sam now haunts them as a potential replacement.
‘When the benefit Offices close wait for the rush of obnoxious Geordies spouting off. Hopefully they will never have to grace this board again.’
‘But wait for the West Ham fans to take up the fight if Fat Sam gets appointed.’
‘At last, been a long time coming. Hope to hell we don’t get Fat Sam in a panic.’
‘Please god no! Out of the frying pan stuff, but more boring!’
‘Thank god Parish has found his balls and done the right thing.’
‘It’s a christmas miracle!’
‘This is good news. Now lets recover, build, go forwards and pick up some points.
Sorry Pardew, nothing personal…..this is a results game.
Thank you Parish for the early christmas present.’
‘It had been a long time coming. At most other clubs he would have been sacked last season.’
‘I am glad he is gone. He didn’t know what it took to grind out results.
It needs to be someone that has the same mentality of getting the team to be more possession based however I can see it being big Sam, which I hope it is not.’
‘I feel sad I must admit, I think Pardew is a likeable chap!’
‘And please, please don’t let Millen, Woodman or any other of the ineffective coaches stay at the club.’
‘Sad for him because he had the right ideas just couldn’t pull it all together…’
‘Not ‘hit and hope from behind the parked bus’ Fat Sam please!!’
‘Daily Mail reporting a £5,000,000 pay off, wow..’
‘Glad he’ll be remembered for getting us to a cup final rather than relegating us.’
‘Pardew probably thought Parish meant re-sign a contract extension when he asked him to resign.
Thank f*** Parish has come to his senses and written off the loss from the contract extension rather than wait for him to turn it around by the time we play Barnsley in the championship.’
‘6 wins in 39 league games is just simply awful and would make any managers position untenable.
Didn’t expect it to be today but glad it’s happened.’
‘£5m payoff and £3m buyout from Newcastle seems like it was worth it honestly.’
‘6 months too late but better late than never.’
‘In no way is Sam Allardyce going to be a short term option – He’ll want at least 2-3 years on contract. No ones going to take the Palace job on a short deal unless it comes with a massive bonus or pay out.
Plus, the football at West Ham under Sam, wasn’t actually all that bad. We need to be realistic no one’s going to come in for ‘a few months’ who is established and has a reputation at this level.
If we go Sam, I suspect he’ll be here next season.’
‘Well at least he wont be going to the England job if he does well.’
‘I’m not sure why he’s got such a bad reputation for poor football. That team he built at Bolton with players like Okacha, Djorkaeff, Ivan Campo etc. was quite exciting to watch.’
‘Definitely getting on the ale tonight
Should have gone in the summer but I’ll happily take this. Good riddance. Fraud of a manager.’
