David Prutton looks have taken over permanently from Ian Holloway.
The former Leeds and Southampton player now handing out the predictions for Championship matches, after Holloway’s return to management with QPR.
Looking ahead to Saturday, Prutton has previewed the Newcastle v Blackburn match.
Forecasting a 2-0 win over Rovers, he says he can ‘only see a Newcastle win’.
David Prutton thinks that the most impressive thing about Newcastle United this season is their ‘management of the game, their intensity’.
Also forecasting Brighton to only draw at home to Fulham, the Sky Sports pundit predicts Newcastle to go seven points clear at the top.
David Prutton talking to Sky Sports:
“On paper, this looks a home banker, people will be expecting.
“What’s impressed me so much about Newcastle, especially in the win against Leeds last week, is their management of the game, the intensity.
“I can’t see their winning run ending against Blackburn, who have at least got a few wins on the board after that dismal start to the season.
“The league position does reflect their inconsistency, and it couples with their away form, with just one win all season.
“They had a big slice of luck to win at home against Brentford last week, and I can only see a Newcastle win.”
