Brilliant hat-trick for Newcastle United’s Adam Armstrong as England win 8-1

Ahead of the World Cup next year, Newcastle United’s Adam Armstrong and Freddie Woodman have travelled to South Korea, to take part in the Continental Cup. which is also where (South Korea) the Under 20s World Cup will take place in 2017.

In the opening match on Wednesday morning (GMT), England have smashed Nigeria 8-1 in the opening game.

The goals coming from Taylor Moore, Adam Armstrong (3),  Dominic Solanke, Callum Connolly and Patrick Robert (2).

The 19 year old Geordie striker scored his hat-trick in the 20th, 27th and 70th minutes.

Freddie Woodman sat out this game but is likely to come in for the match against hosts South Korea tomorrow (Thursday 10 November).

England secured their place at the U20 World Cup in South Korea after their performance at the U19 European Championship earlier this year, when they reached the semi-final.
