A brilliant 11 man Newcastle United move has been nominated for Championship Goal of the month for October.

An initial list was then dragged down to a final three and the opening minute Ayoze Perez strike v Ipswich is one of the trio of nominations.

SecondsĀ into the game, all 11 Newcastle players touched the ball without any interference from the opposition, the move ending with Jonjo Shelvey sending out a laser-like long pass out to Dummett on the left, he crossed and Yoan Gouffran headed it on, straight into the path of Perez who was arriving late into the box and who volleyed home (see the goal again below).

The footage was beamed around the world to universal praise, a testament to the brilliant job Rafa Benitez is doing.

Not wanting to take anything for granted…make sure you vote for this Ayoze Perez strike if you want to make absolutely sure it wins, the winner is announced next Friday (18 November) and to vote go HERE.

Sky Sports:

‘Nominations from each of the Sky Bet EFL divisions were initially compiled after input from fans on Twitter.

These were then whittled down to three goals per league by our judging panel, comprising Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, Sky Bet sponsorship manager David Tweed and EFL commercial marketing manager James Walker.

Ayoze Perez – NEWCASTLE UNITED v Ipswich Town

A great team goal involving all 11 Newcastle players straight from kick-off. Perez finished the move with a powerful volley without Ipswich getting a touch.
