Ahead of the Blackburn v Newcastle match on 2 January 2017, Rovers have announced that they are moving season ticket holders in order to accommodate as many travelling Newcastle supporters as possible.
The game is live on Sky TV but that is very unlikely to stop the away allocation selling out quickly.
Newcastle fans have been allocated the entire Darwen End, with Blackburn season ticket holders in that end of the stadium being able to choose an alternative seat as from Monday.
The last home game against Brentford last weekend saw just over ten thousand at the game, so no wonder Blackburn (unlike Hull!) are happy to take as much Geordie cash as possible, to fill up the thirty one thousand capacity Ewood Park.
The Darwen End holds 8,000 supporters, which is likely to make it the best attended away match for Newcastle fans this season, overtaking the estimated 7,000 who were at Fulham on the opening day of the season, also for a live televised match.
No news as yet on ticket prices for Newcastle fans but Blackburn supporters are paying between £26 and £35 for adult (22-64) tickets, whilst over 65s and 18-21s pay between £19 and £29, with Under 18s between £12 and £15, for the various home sections.
